Extending Coverage

• Extensions will be available during the Enrollment/Waiver Period each academic term.
• *Extensions are most often used in the Summer term
• If you are not enrolled for classes for an individual semester and wish to extend your coverage, you can purchase an Extension. However, you must have been covered during the previous semester and registered for the following semester as a on campus student.

• Students who intend to enroll in courses for the term should not complete an Extension form.
  • Course enrollment automatically enrolls students in the student health insurance plan.
• Students holding a waiver-generating assistantship are required to complete the Extension form if they are not enrolled in courses for the current term and want the student health insurance coverage.
  • The associated fee waivers will be placed on a student’s account within 10 business days.
